Irish Choir CÓR GEAL, is a mixed adult choir from Cork who are celebrating their 10th anniversary by travelling to Scotland to participate in the St Patrick's festivities here.

This award winning choir with it's Musical Director Betty Fitzgerald, and Accompanist Susan Manion-O'Brien, has had great success in competition and concert performances alike and will perform it's "Cór Geal's Celtic Celebration" concert in both Edinburgh and Glasgow to coincide with the St Patrick's festivals here. Cór Geal will also sing the Mass in Coatbridge on St Patrick's day.

The concert programme will wow audiences with it's wonderful mix of Irish favourites such as 'Danny Boy', 'Rocky Road to Dublin' alongside favourites such as 'Nella Fantasia', Toto's 'Africa', Coldplay's 'Fix You and many more.

This is going to be a unique concert in a unique venue and is not to be missed!

Even better that it is in aid of a cause close to the hearts of the Glasgow Irish community .

The Glasgow St Patrick’s festival is proud to partner with Coiste Cuimhneacháin An Gorta Mór (Great Hunger Memorial Committee) to put on this concert to raise funds for their efforts to build a monument in Glasgow worthy of the memory of our ancestors who were forced to leave Ireland and those who starved to death during An Gorta Mór.

St Marys Calton is reknowned as the place where Celtic F.C was founded and is the second oldest Catholic church in Glasgow.
The new An Gorta Mór Memorial will be placed in it's ground.
The church building on Abercromby Street, completed in 1842, is protected as a category A listed building.
