Evin Downey

Development worker for Irish Language organisation Conradh na Gaeilge Glaschú - Evin Holds the position of Festival Co-Chair for 2014, having been Vice-Chair for the previous two years. Originally hailing from Dublin, Evin has worked tirelessly to preserve and promote the Irish Language in and around Glasgow.  Evin's role within the festival sees him sit on the sub-committees for programming, media and his organisation hosts one of the festival annual events under the  Gaels le Cheilé banner.

Co-ChairpersonPaddy Callaghan

Project Officer for Irish cultural organisation Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann - Paddy holds the position of Festival Co-Chair having been festival Secretary for the previous 2 years. Paddy is an exceptional musician who learned his trade through St Roch's Ceili Band & The Irish Minstrels branch of CCÉ. Using his professional experience in production and media, Paddy is on the programming and media sub-committees for the festival, which has led him to develop this website among other festival projects. Paddy is also a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Award 2013 with the final taking place on the 2nd February as part of the Celtic Connections Festival.
